Véronique and Alexis’
Love Story
After having downloaded the Hinge dating app, Tinder’s tamer brother, Alexis and Véronique planned their first date at the Barley Mow restaurant on April 24th 2023. Neither one had big expectations since their vast and disappointing experience in the ‘‘wonderful world of dating’’. The evening with a little kiss and a mutual thought: ‘‘Will this be my last first date?’’
Much to their surprise, they got along so well they would spend more and more time together. Soon after, they became best friends and are now inseparable (except when the Montreal Canadiens play or lose 4-0 after the first period).
Alexis gifted Véronique the key to his house, opening the doors to Bethamy Lane: Luxurious neighborhood known for its epic roaming cats battles. Alexis introduces Véro to the Muay Thai world, while she introduced him to the unique comfort of Crocs!
They told each ‘‘I love you’’, adopted a kitten and purchased their dream home merely eight months later. They now live a life full of love, Scrabble, joy with their three dogs, two cats as well as three orphaned raccoons who ventured off into our forest last year.
On December 20th 2024, Alexis got down on one knee and asked Véronique’s hand in marriage. Spoiler alert: she said a gigantic YES! They keep reminding each other how lucky they are to have found each other…
… and how all of the horrible dates are no more!!
